Junior: 4–8 years old
Intermediate: 9–13 years old
Senior: 14–18 years old
REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS
Participants should perform one piece of their own choice.
The programme should be appropriate to the participant’s age and level of study.
Suggested Maximum Performance Time
- Junior Division (4–8 years) Up to 3 minutes
- Intermediate Division (9–13 years) Up to 5 minutes
- Senior Division (14–18 years) Up to 7 minutes
A wide range of repertoire is welcome, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary, Folk and Traditional Music.
ABRSM and Trinity examination repertoire is welcome.
Performances may be presented from memory or with music. Memorisation is not required.
The adjudicator reserves the right to stop performances exceeding the stated time limit.
Performers are encouraged to choose repertoire that best displays their musicality, technical ability, and stylistic understanding.
